On Wednesday 6th November, Youth Music – our funding organisation– will be holding a focus group to enable you to share your experiences of using musical spaces and places around London. Every year, Youth Music provides more than 100,000 young people the opportunity to make music, helping them to overcome the challenges they face in their lives.
The views our council members provide in this session will help Youth Music gain an insight into the needs of young musicians around the country, contributing to research on how the organization can create more and better music opportunities for us. The session will give Wired members the chance to have a say in the kinds of musical spaces and places they would like to be made available to them. The information you provide will be published as an article in the academic journal: ‘Cultural Geographies’ next year!
If you are interested in getting involved in the discussion, then please contact Amy through amy@sound-connections.org.uk
