Emerging artist and producer EVA is making waves in the UK music scene, blending her smooth pop vocals with dance music. From securing funding and mentorship through Wired4Music’s Generate Programme to winning in multiple categories at the 2023 Youth Music Awards, performing at Glastonbury and and making it to the finals of MOBO UnSung 2025, EVA’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, passion, and community. As a Generate alumni, she has carved out a space for herself in an industry where female artists and producers are often overlooked. In this interview, EVA takes us back to the beginning, sharing how these experiences have shaped her career so far, and what’s next for her music.
That came right at the very start of my career! I was just looking for support, because releasing a song is difficult, it takes money and support. When I found Wired4Music and I had a meeting with Jasmine and Tee it felt too good to be true. That was in 2021, now we’re in 2025, and I’ve just been super lucky to have their support because it’s not just about the funding, but the networking opportunities like WIRED UP and the community. I’m super grateful for them.
It taught me to believe in what you’re making, because Wired4Music is all about supporting people and making sure people have direction. That’s exactly what it was for me. Basically, just removing the ceiling when it comes to what you want to do and what you want to achieve. They help you realise and visualise that.
I think it was just a huge pat on the back, and it made me realise that what I’m doing is good and it’s recognised. Of course, we make art for ourselves, we should always make art for ourselves and make the stuff that we like, but to have other people resonate with it is hugely fulfilling and rewarding.

The Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition was in 2023. I just applied I think there’s like 10,000 applicants, and I got through to the long-list, which is 80 or 90 people, and then I got through to the shortlist. It was just a matter of people resonating with the music that I was making and saying, okay let’s give this girl a platform. I guess I was putting in the work, and it was paying off because people could see that.
Making more music! Raising the esteem of female producers. There’s not many of us and people do tend to take advantage or maybe undermine you. I’m just here to say, ‘no, I am a producer, I make my music.’ I want to put powerhouse vocals back into dance music. We need more like CeCe Penisten, Robin S, that kind of vibe. That’s my plan. That’s my aim.
