Many move to London to jumpstart their music career. 19-year-old musician and artist Sharifa effortlessly embraces the challenges that come with the decision he made at 16 to move out. The East Midlands native captivates audiences worldwide with his “melding hiphop with an assured alt-pop sound” as written by Robin Murray at CLASH Magazine. And heading into his new chapter, “the sound of his latest track “SOMEONE” leans heavily into early pop-punk, bringing up visions of Blink-182 and Paramore with all the angst and yearning in tow.” – Erica Campbell, Paper Magazine.
After finishing his studies at the BRIT School, his work has gained recognition on various platforms, including BBC Radio London, 1XTRA, Reprezent and more. Sharifa was showcased in his talent at The 2023 Great Escape festival and a sold-out KOKO Camden show as a supporting act.

“For my Generate Project I will be presenting my third album and focusing on getting the final mix and final master recordings. I’ve been working on this album for a few years with Sam Beer (Treetop Flyers) as a main producer. Every song on this upcoming album tells a personal vulnerable story as it’s written during lockdown and from my perspective of looking for various answers.”
