Over the last few months, we have been absolutely blown away by the talent of our  W4M community, as so many of our amazing young members have joined us to participate in artist residencies, be that by taking to the stage at Rich Mix, or by making it all possible behind the scenes!

We wanted to take a moment to look back at some of the special moments from the last few months, and to celebrate the sheer talent that we have within the Wired4Music community…

January 2022 Residency

On the 26th January we held the first ever Wired4Music Residency at Rich Mix! With Timur and Redler facilitating the session, we saw four Wired4Music members spend the day collaborating, swapping genres and remixing covers. It was a really creative environment full of inspiring moments. A massive well done to our resident artists; Milli-Rose, Nazzy Dinero, Ikran and Damelola!

“When I started to share my song, I started to see the piece come to life from a completely different angle than I had initially planned. Sharing with new people provides the opportunity to hear your work from a perspective that you didn’t think of.”

Our second Wired4Music Residency took place on the 23rd February, and saw W4M artists NomadicAnushaSolariis and Marleen team up to curate and showcase a ~ v i b e ~ over the course of just two days!!!

“Being able to be in a room with other musicians again I feel has shown me more about how Wired4Music works and how I can use that in my own event planning, including with my generate fund. ”

– Timur (Residency Producer / W4M Member)

This month’s residency also saw a return from our incredible January artists – we were so proud at how you were all able to work together to perform and collaborate – congrats everyone!!

March 2022 Residency

In March, resident artists Hatty, Will J and Ashleigh Bankx shut it down at Rich Mix, performing all of their wonderful songs for guests, friends and family, as we opened up our residency programme to a live audience for the first time! A huge well done to these talented artists, including artist Thaxxter who joined us for our first open mic!

We were also lucky enough to have the brilliant Alex Clovis join us as our photographer for the day. A massive shout out to Alex for capturing the day so perfectly!

Overall, it’s been so amazing to open up a platform to our W4M members and Resident Artists!! They are all so brilliant, and make us cry proud tears of joy over here at W4M! Finally, we’d like to say a huge thank you to the Rich Mix staff and team, for accommodating our artists and residencies so generously!
