This year we’re back with a brand new symposium where we will be exploring young people’s participation in the world of music.
Participation doesn’t just mean ‘taking part’ – it’s about empowering young people to take a lead in shaping their own musical futures. At the event we’ll discover how music organisations can bring young people into the heart of everything they do, supporting a new generation to have a say and realise their dreams and ambitions.
This event is devised and delivered by Wired4Music, the music council for young Londoners hosted by Sound Connections. The council have recently initiated a groundbreaking manifesto for young musicians in London. We now invite organisations and young people to join the conversation so we can add everyone’s voice to the campaign and create real change.
This event is part of Roundhouse Rising Festival 2014, supporting the development of new music from young and upcoming artists. We are delighted to be working in close partnership with the Roundhouse and their Youth Advisory Board.
