Southbank Centre is a place that unites people through the exchange of ideas, the power of creativity and the imagination and through freedom of expression. We passionately believe in the power of art, ideas and creativity to inspire, educate and effect change.
We are currently looking for a well-organised and dedicated Programming Assistant, with experience of working in an arts venue and/or a festival or arts organisation, to provide secretarial and administrative day-to-day support to our Senior Programmer for Contemporary Music and Senior Programmer for Performance and Dance. This broad and exciting role gives you the opportunity to be a proactive part of our Arts Programming team and provide invaluable support to senior members of the team.
With demonstrable experience of providing a high standard of PA and administrative support, including managing multiple diaries; the ideal candidate will be able to manage their own time, prioritise a heavy workload and work well in a fast paced environment. You will have outstanding administration skills, strong IT skills and high levels of accuracy in work produced. With strong written and verbal communication skills, you will be able to work well and communicate with a wide range of people, including internal and external stakeholders and be confident in your ability to handle confidential matters with discretion. Finally, you will be ready to combine your existing PA and administrative experience with your keen interest in a broad range of artforms to support our Senior Programmer for Contemporary Music and Senior Programmer for Performance and Dance, and the wider team, in the planning and confirmation of Southbank Centre’s diverse music, dance and performance programme.
We present work for everyone and we welcome applications from everyone. By attracting people to work for us from a broad range of backgrounds with diverse attitudes, opinions and beliefs we can continue to look at the world with fresh eyes and find new ways of doing things.
