Job Description
General:
- To ensure that the day to day maintenance work of the Venue is undertaken in a timely, effective and efficient manner.
Specific:
- To ensure that a weekly maintenance and housekeeping ‘Check List’s is compiled, prioritised, actioned and given to your Line Manager
- To ensure that all problems and defects are logged, reported and where practical remedied and reported to your Line Manager.
- To ensure an ongoing Maintenance program is implemented and documented.
- To ensure that all work is carried out within the budget set by your line manager.
- To undertake a daily building checklist for every event and ensure that the building is safe and ready for public admittance
- To liaise with the contract cleaning company to ensure that all areas are cleaned in accordance with the ‘Cleaning Check List’.
- To liaise with all relevant contract Suppliers to the Venue.
- Responsible for sourcing suppliers based upon criteria such as cost quality and availability.
- To undertake ‘projects’ as and when directed by your Line Manager.
- To ensure that the building and its surrounding areas are kept clean tidy and safe at all times.
- To ensure that adequate stocks of consumables (e.g. cleaning fluids, light bulbs etc) are maintained within budgets set by your Line Manager.
- To have a sound working knowledge of the venue and its facilities and where necessary take immediate action to ensure a safe working environment.
- To keep the maintenance areas ‘clean & tidy’.
- To carry out all weekly fire alarm checks, monthly emergency lighting checks and to co-ordinate all statutory building inspections in liaison with Live Nation Property team.
- To carry out all contractor inductions and be venue contact for all maintenance contractors when carrying out works on site.
- To carry out all H&S checks, paperwork and inspections as required.
- To undertake other duties that from time to time may be deemed reasonable
Job Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required
- Previous experience of working within a similar environment
- Ability to understand and manage budgets
- Understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations relating to music venues.
- Must be proactive in dealing with maintenance issues within the buildings
- Ability to plan and organise maintenance to meet deadlines and manage any conflict that may arise
- Computer literate with knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Attention to detail
- Able to work flexible and unsocial hours including evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve
