As part of Strive, Southbank Centre’s new youth Festival for young creatives aged 15-25, there will be a drop-in music workshop session for festival goers. The session will be one of many workshops and talks taking place across this three day festival.
The idea is to create a space where musicians of all genres can meet and share their interest as well as offering non-musicians a chance to ‘have a go’ or ‘enjoy their first 10 min lesson’ on a number of different musical instruments.
Southbank are looking for musicians aged 15-25 who are passionate about their instrument and who would be interested in sharing this passion with other young people. The ideas is that you will offer a ’10 min lesson’ to other young people who have never played your instrument before. You will also have the opportunity to try out a range of different instruments too.
Don’t worry – you won’t have to hand over your instrument for people to have a go on – Southbank will be sourcing a number of spare instruments in which people can try out.
If you are interested in taking part please complete this quick online form or to find out more please email Annie Sheen
