Sound and Music’s Sounding Out series is a rolling programme of panel discussions and presentations providing insights into professional practice across new music and sound.
In partnership with Voices Now, Sounding Out: Voices Now is an professional development opportunity for emerging composers, artists , music directors and singers at an early stage in their careers to hear directly from leading figures about considerations and aspects of writing effectively for choirs and vocal ensembles.
Through a day of workshops, panel discussions and Q&As composers will explore diverse approaches to writing for vocal ensemble and choir. Away from the presentations, Sounding Out also acts as an informal networking opportunity for artists and producers to start developing those new ideas inspired by the event.
