Rich Mix is recruiting for the New Creatives Programme! 

New Creatives is a 9 month programme (Apr-Dec) of intensive coaching and personal development by Grit creative skills support and development, and hands-on paid work experience of the creative sector working alongside the Rich Mix team. The programme is open to Tower Hamlets based young people aged 16-18 who are NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training).

 

The programme will cover the following areas:  

  • Personal Development with Grit Team and personal life coaches
  • Leadership and careers in the arts through meeting inspiring creatives from a range of fields
  • Developing your artistic practice through meeting artists and putting on an event in December
  • Chance gaining Arts Awards qualification
  • Chance to gain paid practical experience of working in the arts by working within the Rich Mix team or one of the creative businesses based in our building (3 weeks in June-Dec)

Staring with a week long intensive at the end of April, the programme requires the following time commitment between May-Dec 2020:

  • one Monday evening 5pm-8pm every 2 weeks to develop a mini-festival at the end of the programme (Fri 5 -7 Dec)
  • minimum one hour every 2 weeks to meet with Personal Coach
  • one Saturday afternoon for a group work with all Personal Coaches (9 May, 13 Jun, 11 Jul, 22 Aug, 12 Sep, 10 Oct, 7 Nov, 5 Dec)
  • 5 evenings TBC to attend events (May-Dec),
  • 3-weeks (Mon – Fri, 10am-6pm between Jul and Dec) to undertake paid work placements (if selected)
