LINK IN MY BIO, a new opera-in-development, centres around a diverse group of young people and what happens when their bus is hijacked by the supporters of an Alt-Right personality after he has been attacked by an unknown assailant/s. Conceived by librettist Jennifer Farmer and director Seta White, LINK IN MY BIO is a ‘choose your own adventure’ opera exploring what it is to be a young person in today’s Britain, with the continued growth of the far-right and widespread justification of racism and xenophobia.
Our next stage of development is to create 10-15 minutes of material for an invited industry sharing at Arcola Theatre in April 2020 for potential partner venues and co-producer/s. We are looking for a musician/composer.
If interested, please respond by 5pm on 17 February 2020 with your expression of interest, providing a CV and samples of work to Seta and Jennifer at notusopera1@gmail.com.
A fee is provided as part of a seed commission.
