Speakers:

6pm – 7.30pm Kim Macari, Arts Council England, London Music Team

Have an idea for a project and want to apply for funding? Applied before, but got rejected? Feeling overwhelmed by the options, jargon and information?

We’ll spend this session demystifying the world of arts funding – who it’s for, how it works, how to get it and more. As well as looking at the different programmes of funding offered, we’ll take a look at what happens to your application after it’s submitted – how decisions are made. There will also be top tips for application writing and time to ask any burning questions.

7.45pm – 8.30pm Barnaby Duff, Help Musicians UK, Creative Programme Officer

Creating music can be expensive. Navigating the business often requires professional advice, and the specialist skills needed to record, release and grow can be costly to gain. Help Musicians provides financial support to help creators achieve their potential, develop their skills, grow their portfolio and build a career.

During this session, we’ll cover the ways Help Musicians can support you, as well as a suite of other resources that can help provide you with a healthy and sustainable career in music.
