The Museum of Youth Culture is an emerging museum with a collection of over 150,000 photographs, ephemera and objects that tell the story of growing up. From the Mods and Rockers of the 60s, through to the emergence of Hip Hop and Rave in the 80s to the Grime scene today, the photographs talks of the sounds, styles and movements created by young people.
We want you to help us to curate a Digital Youth Festival, to imagine yourself of curators of the Museum of Youth Culture!
It is a 9-week programme, with weekly, one-hour evening sessions on Tuesdays, held over Zoom.
Half of the sessions will be planning sessions for the Digital Festival, and the other half will be creative workshops led by photographers, artists and friends of the Museum.
Below is a more detailed breakdown for the programme, starting from February 9th.
We’re super excited to get started on this project and build the Digital Festival together.
