Get involved with filmmaking, acting and skills mentoring from professionals as part of SPID Theatre’s 13-25s Spring Season!

SPID Theatre are based in North Kensington and work on housing estates across London to create high-quality art and performance that is thought-provoking, adventurous and interactive and champions the heritage and culture of social-housing.

This spring as part of our youth season for 13-25s we’ll be filmmaking with the project theme ‘Stories We Save’, in partnership with the Museum of Brands and their reminiscence programme.  Participants can opt to take part in the acting, directing, writing, producing, design and editing work of a film, all of it guided by a professional filmmaker and three industry specific mentors (producing, sound and production design).

The finished product is intended to be a docudrama, designed, acted in and created by the participants, it will explore the stories of North Kensington’s varied estate voices. These stories will include both young and elderly residents of the Grade II* listed Trellick Tower and Kensal House as well as those of local individuals living with dementia and their family, friends and carers.

Full details on the Estate Endz programme can be found on our website here. Kicking off on the 19th March and running in North Kensington until the end of May, the project is open to any young person aged 13-25 and is fully funded and free to attend.
