Youth Music funds over 350 different organisations across the country – including Sound Connections – to support young musicians to make the music they’re passionate about.
Our projects work with nearly 89,000 young musicians every year – that’s a nationwide movement of young people with a love of music and inspiring stories to share. But right now we know that our website and social media channels aren’t reaching the majority of them. Often they aren’t aware of Youth Music or the bigger picture that they’re part of.
To change this, we need to listen to the views of the young people we want to reach – and that’s where you come in.
On Wednesday 23 January, 7pm-9pm, we’re hosting a session at our offices near London Bridge to hear from YOU about your current awareness of Youth Music, discuss what you’d like to see in our communications, and brainstorm ways we can put more young people’s voices at the heart of Youth Music.
You don’t have to be a super-keen communications person to take part in this session – you just need to be aged 16-25, passionate about music and excited by the potential to reach a nationwide audience of like-minded young people.
This is your opportunity to shape the future voice of Youth Music, and help us make sure our communications meet the needs of the young musicians we’re here to support.
