Beat Beethoven – taking Beethoven’s Fifth out of the classroom for Sport Relief 2020
In March, as part of Sport Relief, hundreds of people around the country will challenge themselves to run 5K and “beat” a live performance of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, which lasts between 30-35 minutes. Here’s how your school could get involved.
Teens, teachers and parents: sign up to fundraise your own Beat Beethoven 5K run in March
Run or jog during the live Radio 3 broadcast OR take a special Beat Beethoven download on a run around your playing field, park or track.
Teachers of younger children: make Beethoven’s Fifth the soundtrack to your PE sessions or daily mile
Visit bbc.co.uk/beatbeethoven to find streaming audio of the entire symphony. Follow the links to order a Sport Relief fundraising pack for your school or to make a direct donation to Sport Relief.
