An opportunity for creative residencies within the East Tower of BBC’s former Television Centre site.
At the end of August, the East Tower of BBC’s Television Centre will be demolished. Prior to demolition, White Noise are commissioning three Residencies to take over the upper floors of the East Tower for creative activity of any kind.
Since the building is scheduled for demolition the activity can include dramatic and permanent changes to the interior environment in any way that does not effect the integrity of the structure. This could include repainting, planting, introduction of additional structures.
Potential use of the floors could include: location for film-making / photographic projects, temporary home for radio broadcasts or recording, artistic research / project space, art exhibition or installation, event space for music / drama / dance / etc (audience up to 200 people).
The floors will be made available for the period June 1 to July 30th 2016.
This is a paid opportunity with an artist fee of £1,500 and £1,500 contribution towards production costs.
