Project - Talent=Fame?

Talent=Fame? was held in November 2011 and is the first major project developed solely by our Wired4Music council members. We took every part of the production, from planning and budgeting to sourcing artists, to running the show on the night. The event was held at Rich Mix and featured headline acts, upcoming artists, music industry experts (via video link) and an exhilarating debate lead by the audience of young people with the motion: ‘You don’t need talent to be famous.’ We wanted to find out if talent is necessary anymore to make it in the music industry and whether fame should be a mark of success in the first place. Questions were submitted by attendees before the event and thrown into the mix on the night. The result was an amazing mix of perspectives and opinions from young people from across London, alongside performances from Wired4Music’s Shimzie, Infecta, Aysha and Half Nelson, and headliners In’Sight, Lil Simz, and PJ. We are currently working on our next major project so watch this space…!
