Vacancy: Artist Liaison @ Foundation 2017

 

Foundation 2017 is a one day creative, city based event, that aims to encourage social activism, through performances, art installations, music, workshops and roundtable discussions. It will be taking place on Sunday 17th September 2017 at Hackney Showroom.

 

The event will be completely inclusive with the principal aim to provide a safe space for LGBTQ/POC and their allies, to celebrate, connect, create, grieve, moan and dance. Our primary goal is to provide a high level creative celebration where those who are feeling isolated and disconnected from the wider society can be supported alongside their peers and amongst brilliant works of art before going back out into the wider world feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.

 

We are looking for 2 Artist Liaisons to join our team on the day (must be over 16).

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Reporting directly to Event Producers
  • Working closely with the Stage Manager and production team regarding arrivals, accreditation, rider and performance times
  • Greet artists on arrival
  • Show or explain performance locations and schedules
  • Manage any dressing room requirements including restock and maintaining cleanliness
  • Act as main contact on the day for acts

 

Skills required:

 

  • Confident and approachable
  • Has an interest in music, spoken word and art
  • Can respond creatively to the unknown
  • Be able to provide accurate site/ production knowledge about the event
  • Responsible and confident working alone
  • Be able to assist production team with props
  • Demonstrate initiative and great organisation skills

Vacancy: Stage Manager @ Foundation 2017

We are looking for a Stage Manager to join our team (must be over 18).

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Set up and run technical rehearsals
  • Help to procure set dressings and assist in set construction
  • Manage the props and supervise the get in and get out of the venue
  • Make alterations to the stage between set changes and cue technicians
  • Ensure the company’s welfare and maintain a good working knowledge of all relevant health and safety legislation and good working practice

 

Skills required:

  • Strong and confident in managing acts from a technical, production and logistics point of view
  • Good people skills
  • Great time keeping
  • Good appreciation for the acts and their skills
  • Basic technical understanding of venue
  • Brings initiative to the role, able to spot potential problems and proactively solves them
  • Great organisational skills
