You will develop and produce exciting digital content as part of a brand new project celebrating contemporary music in South London. You will dig deep into the worlds of UK jazz, Afrobeat, R&B, reggae and grime music to produce radical content that documents the music on the Horniman’s doorstep. You will capture the work and lives of local artists and help to preserve the story of the international impact music from south London is having.

You will create engaging culturally relevant content for local music audiences, primarily on social media, to help strengthen links between the Horniman’s collection of musical instruments and the project’s new activity.

As someone who completely understands south London’s contemporary music culture, you possess the skills, vision and experience to create either film, audio or photographic content that captivates new audiences.

You will come up with creative ways to document the Horniman’s resident artists, music masterclasses, exhibition, summer bandstand gig series, intimate gig series and a summer music festival.

The closing date for completed applications is 10am on Monday 13 January 2020.  Interviews will be held on Monday 23 January 2020.

The Horniman is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
