Young Urban Arts Foundation (YUAF) is an innovative registered charity delivering arange of services to young people and those that work with young people. Our aim is to support young people to reach their full potential by primarily engaging them in arts and media activities.

We are currently recruiting Freelance Creative Tutors to join our team for YUAF exciting and diverse summer programme.

*Please note that work with YUAF is funding dependant.

WHAT CREATIVE DISCIPLINES ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Spoken word
  • Song writing
  • DJing
  • Music Production
  • Graffiti Artist
  • Street and Hip/Hop Dancers

WHAT DOES THE CREATIVE TUTOR ROLE INVOLVE?

  • Delivering sessions to students/participants of different ages
  • Developing delivery/lessons plans in relation to their respective art that clearly outlines the aims and objectives of the session and how objectives will be achieved
  • Contributing to the briefing and debriefing of sessions
  • Assisting office staff in maintaining files and databases through data collection
  • Gathering media evidence and send to Social Media Officer
  • Adhering to all YUAF policy and procedures eg confidentiality, equal opportunities and diversity, health and safety and safeguarding
  • Participating in appropriate staff development, training and supervision sessions
  • Ensuring consistency and quality assurance of sessions
  • Liaising appropriately with external organisations if required
  • Working as a team-player to fulfil the aims, values and mission of YUAF
  • Carrying out any other duties that may be required by the organisation as requested by the Project Leader, Director or YUAF and the Board of Trustees

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU?

  • Teaching/ leading workshops experience
  • Experience managing challenging behaviour
  • Experience working with people with physical and/or learning disabilities
  • The ability to plan and organise workshop sessions without external help
  • Excellent time keeping and communication skills
  • Current CRB Disclosure is a bonus

RATE OF PAY:

£15 – £25 per hour depending on experience.
