The Concerts Department is at the heart of performance activities at the Academy. It co-ordinates a busy schedule of around 120 projects and 500 concerts both within the Academy and further afield, as well as collaborating with professional partners in major international festivals.

The Concerts and Prizes Administrator is responsible for the programming and concert management of the Academy’s flagship Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime chamber music concert series. The role also assumes responsibility for the efficient administration of the weekly student concerts, including production of programmes, booking of assessors and collation of marks.

You will also be responsible for all aspects of the administration of the Academy’s internal and intercollegiate competitions, from booking of high profile adjudicators, liaising with sponsors, scheduling of the individual candidates, event management and ensuring that all competitions are managed in a way that complies with the rules and regulations and the funding constraints, in addition to the wishes of donors and sponsors.

With a degree in music (or equivalent) and a thorough knowledge of a wide range of music and instruments, you will also have previous concert management experience gained in a similarly busy and challenging role.  With a good working knowledge of MS Office applications, you will be able to work effectively under pressure with frequent and conflicting deadlines and demonstrate the ability to organise, prioritise and show a thorough attention to detail.
