This six-session course gives 15–21-year-old writers the tools to write about music in print or online. Discover how to put together a podcast, a radio interview or feature.
Amanda Holloway, a magazine and online editor and writer, runs through the skills you need to be a music journalist in any medium, for any sort of music – familiar or unfamiliar. She is joined by leading music reviewers, bloggers, editors, digital producers and some of the team from BBC 6Music.
At the end of the six sessions you have the chance to try out your new-found skills on the eclectic artists and events at the 2015 Meltdown festival, curated by David Byrne. Write live reviews, interview the stars for podcasts and research and write features about the huge range of music on offer.
