Ed Renshaw Music Award 2018 @TheAlbany

Helping Young Musicians resident in South East London to achieve their potential.

The Ed Renshaw Music Award was set up in memory of guitarist Edward Renshaw. The 2018 award is the third bi-annual award and is intended to help young musicians in South East London to achieve their potential.

There will be cash prizes of between £1,000 and £3,000 for the award-winners, either single musicians or a collective, to help further their career in music. The panel will be looking for originality, commitment and talent regardless of genre. In addition, mentoring and industry support will be available from Peter Conway Management. Advice, space and artist development support is available from the Albany, and the winners will also be a part of four ‘Evenings for Ed’: charity gig events at the Albany, taking place from Wednesday 31 October to Saturday 3 November, where the presentation will be made.

Applicants must be aged 16-25 and be resident in South East London.
