curate  create  collaborate

Apply to co-curate one of three cross-arts events taking place this Spring; as part of a high profile project with Wired4Music and partners

We’re looking for enthusiastic Wired4Music members to become curators; working alongside Team Wired on one element of this three-part all dayer:

 1: Video Installation

2: In Conversation With...

3: Female/Non-binary led Music Production Workshop/Sharing

The day will culminate in an afterparty led by female/non binary DJs, producers, artists and musicians, with an open mic element. Each curator will feed into the planning of this.

What will you be doing?

  • Co-curating 1 x element of the day; selecting artists/guest speakers/leaders and liaising with them to bring their work/words/music to life on the Wired4Music platforms
  • You will be supported by experts from Team Wired4Music and assigned a mentor
  • You will collaborate with experienced Producers and staff to bring ideas to life
  • You will contribute to the content and creation of the Afterparty
  • You will meet regularly with each other and staff to bring the ideas to life
  • You will be part of a wider network of 16-25s all creating work as part of the LDN City Takeover
  • You will be paid at London Living Wage (£10.55 p/hour) for your time (exact number of hours tbc)

Key dates for your diary

  • Tuesday 5 Feb 4pm-7.30pm
  • Fri 5/Sat 6 April all day
  • Regular catch up meetings to be arranged upon appointment

How do you get involved?

Send the following to jessica@sound-connections.org.uk by 9am on Thursday 31 January:

Either a video* (3 mins max) or a written statement of bullet points (300 words max) telling us:

  • which element you’re interested in
  • the last great event you went to and what made it great
  • why you want to get involved and why you think you’ll be good
  • that you’ve signed up to Wired4Music
  • if there is anything we can do to make it easier for you to take part

*no fancy filters or techniques required, we just want to hear from you and give you options on how to apply
