These workshops, delivered by Industry professionals, are designed for young people interested in working in the creative industries.

You can sign up for as many of the workshops as you wish.  Places are limited, priority will be given to local young people and Lewisham Homes residents. Please note the age range varies for the sessions.  You will receive an email to confirm your place at the session.

 

 

Growing Relationships and Building your Networks

Wednesday 20 February, 6pm – 8.30pm


It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.’

This unique workshop will provide you with information on how to connect with arts organisations and professionals to make to get your work seen and build your networks.

Ages 16 – 30. Delivered by Linda Bloomfield, Creative Programmes Manager at the Albany.

Being your own boss: Introduction to working as a freelancer in the arts

Wednesday 27 February, 6pm – 8.30pm

This introductory session will give you all the information you need to work successfully as a freelancer in the creative sector.

Cash-Money and the Art of Fundraising

Wednesday 13 March, 6pm – 8.30pm

A workshop about the tools and techniques for successful fundraising.

Ages 16 – 30. Delivered by Jenny Daly, Head of Development at the Albany.

How to develop your digital profile

Wednesday 20 March, 6pm – 8.30pm

A practical workshop on branding and building your digital profile.

Ages 16 – 30. Delivered by Cynthia Franklin from The Cocoa Butter Club.

Polish up your CV

Wednesday 27 March, 6pm – 7pm

Discover what makes a great CV, how to describe your skills, plus some quick tips to make your CV shine.

Ages 16 – 30. Delivered by Google Garage.

 

Tech Masterclass

Sunday 14 April, times TBC.

Day long workshop, open to 14-25 year olds

The session will  provide an inspiring overview and hands on experience of these backstage jobs.

Includes introduction to:

  • Lighting
  • Sound
  • Stage Management

Ages 14 – 25. Delivered by Ben Stephen, Head of Production at the Albany alongside other Industry professionals.

Albany Young Creatives is a collective of events producers and artists aged 16-30 with an interest in dance, theatre, music, spoken word, digital arts, or circus.
