Our members have been hard at work on their Silver Arts Award qualifications!

Last Thursday during half-term, our Wired4Music members took over the Sound Connections office at Rich Mix. They were able to speak with Amy, our Wired4Music Coordinator and certified Arts Award Advisor. Our office takeover provided them with the time and the space to work on their portfolios.

The Silver Arts Award is broken into two units.

Unit 1 asks young people to develop their skills and knowledge. As part of this unit, they:

* Decide on an “arts challenge” and make a plan to learn something new.

* Attend and review an event, and share their perspectives with a wider audience.

* Research an arts organisation

Unit 2 asks young people to show leadership on a project.

Arts Award is a great way to give recognition to our members for all of the creative things they outside of school.
