Last week Wired4Music partnered with The Roundhouse on Rising Futures, the inaugural day of Roundhouse Rising Festival 2013. We worked with leaders from the BBC and the Guardian as well as Will Kennard of Chase and Status to discuss issues facing young people in London.

In small group breakout sessions we discussed the future of music education, the role of the artist in the spotlight, music in the media and equal opportunities. Young audience members explored these important issues, exploring key questions on the minds of young people.

The day culminated in a panel where young audience members sparred with industry professionals, policy makers and journalists.

It wrapped up with networking and hands-on taster sessions giving young people the chance to try DJing and music production.
